How Post-Processing Changes a Photo

I often take one photo and then play around with the lighting on my computer. Before long, I’ve got several versions and can’t decide which one I like best.

It’s interesting how even the subtlest changes in the lighting make a huge difference:

But then I sometimes go all out and change absolutely everything:

Ocotillos are one of my favorites desert plants to take photos of because they are so shapely and cut such fantastic silhouettes against the sky. They also make great post-processing subjects.
