Garden update: March 27, 2024
It’s a nice, breezy, sun-shiny day here in Phoenix, AZ!

I’m currently testing out my new “toy”. I finally entered the modern era and took these pictures with my new Samsung A9+ tablet. I’ve never owned a tablet before (or anything similar). It’ll come in handy for quick pics. I got it because I’m officially tired of reading eBooks on my phone. My eyes are certainly happy that I upgraded screen size!
Here’s a quick pic of some cacti growing in pots. Notice the darker green sections indicating new growth.

Here’s a photo of the largest tree in my yard:

It’s a Palo Verde, and I grew it from seed. Here were its baby stages:

My yard has come a long way from this:

In the foreground was another Palo Verde I was growing from seed. The tree got gigantic, and I had to pull it out. It was making my yard way too shady (and it was growing too close to the house.) It cost me $200 to cut it down, and I hated to see it go. Also pictured are a pair of citrus trees that didn’t last two consecutive summers.
Cheers!

My books Memory Road Trip (e-book or paperback) and Time Traveled (e-book or paperback) are both available! You can also find them at most major international book sites.
Your garden is looking amazing! How fulfilling to see the evolution of it over time, especially the tree you grew from seed! -lisa
