I recently finished reading the book “One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This” by Omar El Akkad. This book delves into what it means to live in the West and examines the moral hypocrisy and apathy toward Palestinians in politics, journalism, and literary circles. I found it to be a compelling read, and it inspired me to listen to some of his recent interviews, during which I came across this poignant video:
One of the video’s commenters stated “This video should have more views… The fact that it doesn’t demonstrates our collective guilt” and it’s a sentiment I whole-heartedly agree with. I know I’ve been sharing a lot of videos lately, and if you only watch one, I recommend it be this.
