Hello! And Happy Holidays, I suppose. Honestly, whatever with the holidays. I haven’t been in the spirit this year, what with the looming theocracy on the horizon. Or will it be a mediocracy? Perhaps we’re entering oligarchy territory. Maybe gerontocracy? Monarchy? How about a combo of all five? Theomedoligeronarchy? Yeah, that looks about right. Whatever it is, it will not be a democracy, that’s for damn sure. America was already dying, but this last (like, possibly literally) election put the final nail in that coffin. RIP USA. It had a good run. Maybe I’ll see a bunch of you in the atheist concentration camp in a couple of years.
I lack the motivation to write about what I think 2025 will be like. I initially sat down with the thought that I’d spew out a bunch of words, but now I’ve got nothing. It’s hard staring a blank screen, but maybe it symbolizes what my mind feels like right now—numb and devoid of thoughts. I’m going to have to find a way to float through the next year, as well as the three (or more!) years that will follow. Agh. I’m dreading the future. I didn’t vote for whatever is going to happen, yet I’ll have to live with the results.
I used to wonder how Rome fell, but I don’t wonder so much anymore…
